When did you start working in insurance? “In 1998 I graduated from Millersville University with a degree in music. I realized I didn’t want to suffer from my art so I ended up in the insurance industry. I still use my music degree to listen, ascertain, and come up with solutions for people.” Bryan also sings in the St Joseph’s choir.
What do you like most about your job?
“What I like about insurance is the sense of accomplishment that comes from legitimately telling someone that all their concerns can be met. It is nice seeing customers when I walk down the street with my family, knowing we have done something good to help them.”
“When my kids tell people what I do for a living they say “When there is a fire, my dad make’s sure the house gets put back together, when there’s a car accident he make’s sure the car gets fixed.”
“I’m a dad and a husband first.” Bryan has been married to his wife Laura for 14 years and has 3 Children: Alexis: 12, Tyler: 10, Evan: 6 and a Labrdoodle named Nittany. He has a very active family. All his kids are involved in sports and his wife frequently runs half marathons. Bryan coaches baseball for his son’s team and is an active member of West Bradford Youth Athletics.
What is the most important thing people should know about their insurance?
“Being complacent with insurance is dangerous, your lives are always change and evolving, you should get a policy review at least every 3 to 4 years and have a conversation to make sure you’re still covered the way you should be. The main question I get from people is “Am I covered” and my answer is let’s find out!” By helping clients understand the fine print in insurance policies he shows them what is and what is not covered and helps them look at different options.
What should people expect from their insurance agent?
“Someone who listens, pays attention, and asks a lot of questions. Insurance is not cookie cutter or a value meal, it’s an individual thing. We work with many different carriers and there may be a different solution depending on each family’s situation.”
“Whenever I have a family come in I always focus on what I would want someone to explain to me and my family. I look at the different options on a policy and help explain if they make sense or not. When I’m working with younger clients I always have a parents perspective, I ask myself; what would I want someone to do for my children? I may not have the best option and I don’t claim to be the world’s top insurance agent but I feel that my experience allows me to create a good relationship with the community and gain respect from our clients. I love doing what I do, I wouldn’t be working here if I didn’t. I also have a good client base that helps me with referrals. It’s a good feeling to know I’m helping people. “
When it comes to insurance, one of brains favorite sayings is: “I think about it so you don’t have to.”
